ID-Access Deployment Manages AD Groups at Global Energy Company
M-Tech's ID-Access Manages 300,000 groups for 200,000 Employees at 244 Sites, 24 Countries.
Calgary, Canada - November 8, 2007 -M-Tech Information Technology Inc, a leading provider of identity management solutions, today announced the successful deployment of ID-Access with a world leader in the energy sector. ID-Access, a solution to manage group membership, will support group management for 200,000 of the customer's users. Users within the company work at 244 sites in 24 countries world-wide.
The deployment and roll out of ID-Access was carried out in partnership with IBM Global Services, the technology services and consulting division of IBM.
John Atkinson, a Delivery Project Executive for IBM, assisted in managing the implementation stages of the project and offered praise to M-Tech staff. ID-Access is a solution for managing membership in groups, where groups exist on ID-Access target systems -- principally Active Directory. Users are able to initiate security change requests -- principally requests to join or exit network operating system security groups -- in a self-service manner, without understanding the underlying security infrastructure.
