Expanding the M-Tech Identity Management Suite with the Release of P-Synch 6.3.0

Major Upgrade Enhances Usability and Simplifies Administration

Calgary, AB - May 1, 2006 -M-Tech Information Technology, Inc., a leading provider of identity management solutions, today announced the general availability of P-Synch 6.3.0. This product upgrade includes substantial enhancements to the P-Synch technology platform, plus a number of significant improvements to ease of use and ease of administration.

Over the past several years, M-Tech has expanded its identity management solution from stand-alone password management (P-Synch) and user provisioning (ID-Synch) to an integrated suite of products spanning access certification (ID-Certify), network resource access administration (ID-Access), orgchart construction and maintenance (ID-Org), and secure management of administrator credentials (ID-Archive).

P-Synch 6.3.0 builds on this integration, and takes on both the standard user interface of the Hitachi ID Management Suite, along with more shared technology infrastructure. The new P-Synch release includes:

A harmonized user interface, consistent with current releases of other Hitachi ID Management Suite components.
Shared connectors for P-Synch, ID-Synch and other suite components.
Simplified support for clearing intruder lockout, in cases where users do not wish to concurrently reset their passwords.
Support for target system groups, to enable multiple, inconsistent password policies without having to resort to multiple P-Synch instances.
Improved integration with Lotus Notes ID files, supporting ID file registration and delivery directly, rather than through a hybrid solution that requires both P-Synch and ID-Synch.
Closer integration with ID-Synch installations, including better data synchronization and single signon between the two products.
