M-Tech Identity Management Solutions Receives Remedy Validation

M-Tech has partnered with Remedy, a BMC Software company, for more than three years providing password management solutions.
The integration between M-Tech's password management solution, P-Synch, and Remedy's Action Request System® (AR System®) automatically updates existing call records when P-SynchNOTM is used by a help desk analyst, and automatically creates incident tickets in Help Desk to reflect user initiated events, such as password resets and successful or failed authentication. The integration allows organizations to respond quickly and efficiently to security events in which P-SynchNOTM is involved, and eliminates redundant data entry. Problem volumes can then be analyzed through normal Help Desk reporting regardless of the problem type or resolution method.
The integration is very flexible, allowing P-SynchNOTM to create new incident tickets and update or close existing tickets in AR System applications. It also supports creation of multiple tickets per incident, and relating them. For example, if a managed system is unavailable, P-SynchNOTM can create both an infrastructure ticket and a user-facing problem ticket, and connect resolution of one to the other. The integration can address any Remedy form, so it is compatible with customized AR System applications.
